The democratic tradition in the state of Maine is deeply rooted in its municipal government. This tradition relies on the ability of citizens, businesses and visitors to access state, county and municipal government information in the most convenient way possible. I am proud to announce Ready. Set. Gov!, a simple and easy-to-use web building tool that will allow Maine’s municipalities to make available basic information about their community to citizens across the state and nation. As a part of the Maine.gov web site, citizens will have a convenient, easy-to-find resource for all their Maine government information, at the local, state and county level. And the best part is, it’s free to you – just log on!

Ready. Set. Gov! was developed by InforME, the Information Resource of Maine. InforME was established by statute in 1998 to provide electronic access to government information and services. InforME manages the Maine.gov portal and has built over 300 eGovernment services, including municipal services such as Rapid Renewal, Aircraft Registration Renewal, Portland Parking Tickets, and online Dog Licensing.
